Final Strategy imminent
In June it will have been two years since the Government committed to developing a national Rare Disorders Strategy.
Rare Disorders NZ has been in regular contact with the team at the Ministry of Health responsible for its progress as part of the Reference Group to input and review drafts, and we have ensured lived experience has played a prominent role in informing the strategy.
We are pleased to have been informed that the final Strategy is now with the Minister of Health and progressing well.
We expect the final Strategy to be released soon and look forward to working with Health NZ to ensure the Strategy leads to meaningful improvements in the health system for people living with a rare disorder.
